Trans Day of Resiliency: Friday September 18th, 2015

We have been working so hard over the past few months to make this event happen. We are so proud to be hosting Peterborough’s first Trans & Gender Variant Panel followed by the first Trans March with Courage Peterborough, PARN, & Rainbow Youth.

Have you ever wanted to listen to a bunch of trans and gender variant people talk about their experiences with identity, culture, privilege, oppression, resilience, and solidarity? Know someone who would really benefit from experiencing this kind of a conversation? Do you want to learn how to be a better ally to the trans and gender variant community? The panel features five Trans & non-binary artists and activists from Peterborough and surrounding area.

The event takes place Friday, September 18th, 2015 at Seeds of Change (534 George St. North). Doors open at 4pm, the panel will be between 4:30pm-6pm, with Peterborough’s first Trans March to follow. Food will be available, graciously provided by Sam’s Deli, Electric City Gardens, and The Planet Bakery. This event is free and Seeds of Change is accessible with an elevator lift. Wheelchair accessible & gender neutral washrooms with also be provided. Thank you to PARN, Peterborough Pride, and all of our amazing volunteers for making this day possible.
